Characteristics and advantages of transparent packaging

  • Release time: 2025-09-12

Transparent packaging, also known as porous plastic, is mainly made of resin and has numerous voids inside. Its structure resembles the combination of popcorn kernels. There are generally two types: hard and soft. The shape depends on the mold and is usually white. It has common characteristics such as lightweight, waterproof, thermal insulation, and shock absorption, and is particularly suitable for packaging fragile or liquid items. Due to its low thermal conductivity, it is also used for the preservation of fresh fruits and vegetables.

Transparent packaging can be divided into crystalline and amorphous types: crystalline type has an orderly arrangement of internal molecules and tight connections, resulting in good stability, heat resistance, and high strength; On the contrary, the indefinite rule states that the molecular chain arrangement is scattered and the mechanical properties are poor.

The mainstream transparent packaging box products on the market nowadays are generally soft, cheap, and have good elasticity, but most of them are flammable and pose potential fire safety hazards. The new flame-retardant transparent product has added flame-retardant ingredients, which have good fire resistance and greatly expand its application fields. However, due to its high price, its acceptance is not high at present. The development and promotion of this product still need to be strengthened by the fire prevention awareness of merchants.
